Start With One Thing

I don't know about you, but it feels like every single

day there are new revelations that contradict each other. Give up cows milk for a better planet, stop drinking almond milk the industry is multiplying faster than the planet can keep up with. There are forests across the globe, flooding in other parts of the world, species lost and on the brink of extinction. It can feel disheartening and it is easy to feel hopeless and powerless, but it is important to not forget the power

of the collective. We don't need a handful of people saving the world and living perfectly. We need millions of people across the globe doing what they can every single day. Pick one fight and stick with it. Commit to it wholeheartedly and make a conscious decision each day to intentionally live by that commitment. As individuals, we each have the power to decide and make changes for a better world, it just takes commitment and consistency. This is all amplified when we work together, share values, inspire, educate and enrich those around us.


Here are some ways you can start with one thing:

  • No single use plastics

  • One plant based meal per week

  • No plastic at home

  • Donate to climate change initiatives regularly

  • Conserve water

  • Switch to energy saving methods at home

  • Switch to an electric vehicle

  • Buy organic

  • Buy local where possible

  • Take your reusable bags when shopping (grocery store, farmers market, retail)

  • Shop sustainable brands
